Our trustees

Doug Hulyer

 

Doug Hulyer has been employed in wildlife conservation, environmental education and sustainable development for 30 years, and is a consultant for various organisations in the nature conservation and heritage sectors. He was a Council member of English Nature from 2002 and now sits on the Board of Natural England.  

He is Chair of the Education and Public Understanding Group for the England Biodiversity Strategy, Chair of the Wetland Vision for England Partnership, Vice-President of the Surrey Wildlife Trust, and a Foundation Member of the Great Fen Project.  He is a Member of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature's Commission on Education and Communications, and of the Learning Advisory Panel for the National Trust. 

He was formerly Director of Conservation Programmes at the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, Project Director of the London Wetlands Centre, co-founder of the Real World Learning Campaign, and a Member of the executive committee of the Council for Environmental Education.
