Young Roots (£5,000 to £25,000) Young Roots offers grants of between £5,000 and £25,000. The scheme aims to involve 13–20 year-olds (up to 25 for those with special needs) in finding out about their heritage, developing skills, building confidence and promoting community involvement. Projects can last up to 18 months. You will hear if you have been successful or not within three months of submitting your application.
Your Heritage (£5,000 to £50,000) Your Heritage provides grants of between £5,000 and £50,000 to support community-focused heritage projects. You will hear if you have been successful or not within three months of submitting your application.
Heritage Grants (£50,000 plus) This programme offers grants of £50,000 or more. If you are applying for a grant of £500,000 or more, you must be able to show the national benefits it will produce. If you ask for a grant of less than £1 million you will be told if you are successful or not within six months of submitting your application. If you ask for a grant of £1 million or over, your application has to go through a two-stage process. You will be told if your Stage One application is successful or not within six months of submitting your application.
