FAQs

What size of grant can I apply for?
You can apply for a grant of £50,000 or more.

Is there a deadline for applications?
There are no deadlines for applications where the grant request is less than £5 million. You can apply at any time. For applications where the grant request is over £5 million there are application deadlines twice a year, at the end of December and the end of June.

How long does it take before I get a decision about my project?
If you ask for a grant of less than £1 million you will be told if you are successful or not within 6 months of us receiving your application.  If you ask for a grant of £1 million or more your application has to go through a two stage process.  You will be told if your Stage 1 application is successful or not within 6 months of us receiving your application.

How long can my project last for?
We can fund projects for up to 5 years.

Do I have to contribute anything towards my project?
For grant requests below £1 million you will need to provide at least 10% of the project costs from your own or other resources, either in case or in kind.  If you ask for a grant of £1 million or more you will need to provide at least 25% of the project costs from your own or other resources, either in cash or in kind.
