Congratulations to Wedgwood Museum on winning Art Fund Prize!

HLF would like to congratulate the Wedgwood Museum on winning this year's Art Fund Prize for museums and galleries. Located at the home of Wedgwood in Stoke-on-Trent, the museum, which opened last year, took eight years to develop and was supported with a £5.8million HLF grant.

The museum showcases Josiah Wedgwood’s experimental trials, keynote designs and products ranging from the 18th to 20th centuries, and also houses more than 75,000 original manuscripts detailing everything from international trade, social history, the anti-slavery campaign and the building of Britain’s canal system.
