    Challenge and Change: HLF and Cultural value The work of HLF has broadened the social base for the enjoyment of heritage so that there is now an acknowledged diversity of contributions to the national story. This report offers a detailed history of the organisation to support this argument. In addition, the report addresses the issue of how public and cultural value are generated by and through the heritage and the work of HLF.

    Equality impact assessment on grant giving
    We have recently completed an Equality Impact Assessment (EQIA) on Grant Giving. This summary report details the outcome of the EQIA . Copies of both the full and summary reports can be provided in braille, audio cassette, disk and electronic formats on request. If any other format is required, please contact us and we will aim to facilitate such requests.

  • Equality Impact Assessment on Grant Giving 

    Equality impact assessment for the recruitment of regional and country committee members We are planning to carry out a series of equality impact assessments to review our policies and activities in areas which could potentially have a differential impact on equality of opportunity. The first assessment to be completed has looked at the recruitment of members to HLF's regional and country committees across the whole of the UK.

    Learning from Young Roots
    HLF's Young Roots grant programme is helping a new generation to get involved with heritage and helping youth and heritage organisations to extend their activities. This publication summarises the findings from the first year's external evaluation of the Young Roots grant programme. It outlines the impact of projects on young people and their communities and identifies key elements which are likely to lead to successful young people's heritage projects.
