The Economic Impacts of Funding Heritage : Case studies for 2005

Undertaken by Ecotec in 2005, this study aimed to see how far HLF is meeting its aim of promoting heritage conservation as an integral part of urban and rural regeneration. The over-riding objectives were to try and establish the extent to which projects have benefited local businesses, and are making an ongoing contribution to local economic development. By 'local' we meant the impacts at the local authority level. The study looked at 10 HLF funded projects, across the UK, that received an award of over £2million.
