Remembering Slavery in 2007

2007 marks the bicentenary of the parliamentary abolition of the slave trade in British ships, and plans to commemorate this historic legal decision are currently underway.

These pages aim to provide information about how Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) funding can help to support projects that will add to our individual and collective understanding of the transatlantic slave trade and engage new and diverse audiences with an important part of our national heritage.
