The Mancunian Way

Young Roots programme
Grant awarded £23,000

After 80 years at their Maine Road home, Manchester City Football Club moved to the City of Manchester Stadium in 2003.

Pupils from the Cedar Mount High School researched and explored the heritage of the club through working alongside the heritage centre and interviewing ex-players and officials from the club.

What did it feel like to make their debut?
What was the best player you ever played against?
Who are the best fans in the country?

Young people got the chance to find out the answers to all these questions and exhibit their findings at the stadium heritage centre.
