Thinking about buying heritage items and collections

We will help buy works of art, archives, objects and other collections which are important to the heritage and which were created more than 10 years ago. We will also fund buying more recent items of heritage importance, but only if they are part of a larger collection which is more than 10 years old. We expect you to tell us about the activities you will undertake to help people learn about the items so we will not fund projects whose only activity is the purchase of items.

Essential for...
Anyone who wants to purchase items or collections with either a Heritage Grant (over £100,000), or for Your Heritage grant (£3,000 to £100,000).
