Thinking about language heritage

There are hundreds of languages and dialects spoken in the UK by diverse communities.  Language is part of our heritage and can connect us to people, places and the past.  This guidance is designed to help you understand what we mean by language heritage and provide examples of the types of language projects we fund.

Useful for…
Anyone with a heritage project involving the exploration of language within the UK. Please note that we will not fund projects about teaching a language or promoting the current use of a language.
