Programme budget : £10,000 - £100,000

This scheme is for urgent repairs to the fabric of the building only and is open to all public places of worship in Wales that are listed.

Programme priorities

This scheme funds work such as repairing roofs, towers, spires, high-level masonry or the system for getting ride of rainwater, or repairs to the historic parts of the building that are at risk of being damaged beyond repair. We will not consider applications for other work (including proposals for new facilities, kitchens and toilets) for a grant under this scheme.

Application process

We will deal with applications in two batches each year. The closing dates for applications each year are as follows:

Grants will normally be made under a two-round assessment process. You first-round application should be submitted to meet one of the batch deadlines. We will make a decision based on this information within six months of the application deadlines. If the decision is favourable we will expect you to submit your detailed second-round application to us within 12 months of the first-round decision.
