Before moving to the Heritage Lottery Fund Ivor spent 22 years at Sunderland City Council, providing project management for the horticultural departments of the Council. One of Ivor’s main achievements was the project management of the extremely successful Mowbray Gardens Project which was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, so he brings with him knowledge of both grant giving and receiving.
Ivor has been with the Heritage Lottery Fund for over six years as Casework Manager for the North East Region having responsibility for all aspects of the casework portfolio, providing support guidance and development advice for all programmes, but especially in his specialism of Landscapes and Parks.
Ivor has a degree in horticulture after studying at Houghall Agricultural and Horticultural College and Durham University. He has given numerous talks and lectures on his specialist subject and has published several articles in the horticultural press and is currently a Green Flag National Judge.
