Space for Learning is a collaborative research project, involving a partnership between key organisations concerned with education in the arts, cultural, environmental and heritage sectors:
* Heritage Lottery Fund
* Arts Council England
* Arts Council of Northern Ireland
* Scottish Arts Council
* Clore Duffield Foundation
* Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE)
* Design Commission for Wales (DCFW)
* Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and the Department for Education and Skills (DfES)
* Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (MLA, formerly Resource)
The main objective of the research is to provide practical guidance to facilitate the creation of high-quality, flexible and sustainable learning spaces for the future. The guidance aims to educate, support and assist staff in the design, construction, refurbishment, resourcing and management of learning spaces, large and small, new and old.
