Senior managers

Stephen Boyce - Deputy Director of Operations

Stephen Boyce joined the Heritage Lottery Fund in 2001.  He has a degree in French and Philosophy and began his career as an actor and teacher.

He spent 18 years at Southern Arts Board firstly as Theatre Officer and later as Deputy Chief Executive.  He was responsible for attracting major education initiatives to the region, developing Lottery programmes on behalf of the ten English regional arts boards and establishing partnerships with local government, business and regional cultural agencies.

Before joining HLF he was Programme Manager for the National Lottery small grants scheme Awards for All.

Stephen is Chair of the Nuffield Theatre, Southampton and of Creative Partnerships, Southampton, Portsmouth and Hampshire.  He is also a Trustee of Arts Research Limited. 

His interests include garden design and poetry.
