Mentoring and sharing of best practice
32 respondents (9%) want HLF to take a more proactive role in sharing best practice from projects and facilitating mentoring of less experienced applicants by existing grantees. This emerged spontaneously – we did not mention it in the consultation – and there are numerous suggestions for how this could be done.

In particular concerns were expressed that organisational learning acquired through delivering an HLF project successfully is not being captured, and valuable experience is being lost. There is no apparent resistance to HLF making mentoring (by past grantees, of new grantees) a formal requirement.
