Using money raised through the National Lottery, the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) sustains and transforms a wide range of heritage for present and future generations to take part in, learn from and enjoy.
In the North West, we have awarded more than £3.1million to over 140 exciting heritage projects led by young people under our Young Roots grant programme. These projects have helped hundreds of young people aged 13 to 25 to find out about their heritage, develop skills, build their confidence and promote community involvement in heritage.
In this newsletter, you will find information on what we look for in potential Young Roots projects, as well as examples of projects we have already funded under this programme.
