Access to Heritage Lottery Fund’s Cardiff office
There is one step from the pavement into Hodge House followed by two short flights of 5 steps up to the reception area where visitors must sign in. If you require level access please use the entrance on St. Mary Street. From the main entrance head on to St. Mary Street, turn left and the level access entrance is 30 meters on the left. The Heritage Lottery Fund office is located on the 5th floor which is accessed via lifts found in reception. On exiting the lift, turn left and proceed through the double doors. There is a short ramp leading to the entrance on your left. There are accessible toilets on the landing next to the lifts on the 5th floor.

Directions to Heritage Lottery Fund, Cardiff office on Guildhall Place
The Heritage Lottery Fund Cardiff office is located centrally in the city at Hodge House on Guildhall Place, between Westgate Street and St. Mary Street. The office is about a 10 minute walk from Cardiff Central train and bus stations. Below are walking directions from these stations.
By train and bus
Exit the station on to Cardiff Station Central Square. Head north passed Burger King and turn right on to Wood Street. Cross the road at the traffic lights by O’Neill’s and turn left on to St. Mary Street. Hodge House is located approximately 250 meters on your left. You’ll see Sainsbury’s local store is on the corner of the building. The main entrance is 20 metres down Guildhall Place.
By taxi
From Cardiff Central train station takes approximately five minutes and costs between £4 and £6.
By car
The Heritage Lottery Fund Offices are located in the centre of Cardiff - please follow signs for the city centre from all directions. Our postcode is CF10 1DY for satellite navigation.
We can only offer car parking facilities at Hodge House for those with access needs and who tell us in advance so we can book the space. There is a NCP located on Quay Street a two minute walk from Hodge House. On exiting the car park, turn right on to St. Mary Street. Turn right on to Guildhall Place. When signing out at reception on the grand floor of Hodge House, after your meeting, ask about using NCP ticket validating machine which will cap the price at £3.80, which can make a significant saving.
Blue Badge parking scheme
Cardiff City Council operates a Blue Badge parking scheme. A Blue Badge allows you to park free of charge in on-street bays such as pay and display and designated disabled parking bays. There are a number of Blue Badge parking spaces on Westgate Street near the office. View a list of current bays:
