Celebrating natural heritage in the West Midlands

Newsletter cover for the Celebrating natural heritage edition

Welcome to a special edition of this leaflet. 2010 is the international year of biodiversity, and people all over the world are being encouraged to safeguard our global natural heritage and reduce the rate of biodiversity loss.

At the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) we support the initiative, and we want more organisations to apply to us for funding for projects that conserve the UK’s natural heritage. Since HLF was set up in 1994, we have invested more than £66million in projects across the West Midlands that protect our countryside, parks, and some of our most threatened wildlife.

But there is still much to do, especially in 2010, and we are
keen to hear from anyone who is planning such projects, large or small. In this leaflet you can find out about our grant programmes, successful projects we have funded, and how you can apply for a grant to conserve, explore and celebrate natural heritage.
