In London, we have funded hundreds of projects that have helped children and young people get involved with their heritage.
More than 80 of them have been led by the young people themselves under Young Roots, our grant programme aimed at getting 13–25-year-olds involved in heritage. These projects have received £1.8million in total, and helped 4,500 young people find out about their heritage, develop skills, build their confidence and promote community involvement in heritage.
This leaflet contains information on what we look for in potential Young Roots projects, as well as examples of projects we have already funded under this programme.
