The Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) has supported thousands of projects conserving special habitats and species in the UK, as well as projects helping people to participate in and learn more about the natural world.
2010 is the International Year of Biodiversity, and we are working to encourage more people to apply to us for funding for projects that conserve our valuable natural heritage.
In this leaflet you can read about what we look for in potential biodiversity projects. There are also tips to help you develop your ideas for such projects, and examples of schemes we have already funded in London through two of our grant programmes – Your Heritage (grants of £3,000–£50,000) and Heritage Grants (grants over £50,000).
