 Discovering marine heritage

Programme: Your Heritage
Applicant: Cornwall Wildlife Trust
Grant awarded: £50,000

Communities, schools and visitors in the Voluntary Marine Conservation Area in Looe have been getting involved with the local marine environment through a Cornwall Wildlife Trust project. Rock pool rambles, snorkel safaris, and training in marine-life identification and survey skills have raised awareness and understanding of the importance of the sea and the Cornish coast.
