The Braid is Ballymena’s new arts centre and the home of the Mid-Antrim Museum. Developed with HLF help, the new building is at the heart of a wider programme of regeneration and improvement of the town centre. The museum boasts high-quality galleries that chart key events in Irish history and showcase local objects in interactive displays. It was long-listed for the 2009 Art Fund Prize for museums and galleries.
