Say thank you to National Lottery players
Without National Lottery players, the £7.9billion of funding awarded to more than 43,000 heritage projects since 1994, would not be possible.
Following the success of last year's #ThanksToYou campaign, we're again asking grantees to give something back to lottery players – and show that their money has been well invested – by offering them free entry, or some other treat.
Those who took part last year said is was “a great initiative to promote Lottery funding” (St Charles Borromeo Church, Hull) and “a fantastic opportunity for us to attract new visitors” (Jodrell Bank Discover Centre).
In 2018, more National Lottery distributors – including arts, sport and community – will be taking part in the week-long celebration from 3-9 December, and we are again asking HLF-supported visitor attractions to join in. If you already offer free entry, how about a free guided tour, some free tickets to a paid-for exhibition, an excluslive talk with an expert or a free workshop?
We'll provide you with all the tools and information you need to run your own free offer; HLF and The National Lottery will support your involvement with website, social media, and national press promotion. And details of the campaign will be featured on 37,000 National Lottery point-of-sale media screens.

We've posted some FAQs in the Online Community – if there's anything we've missed, please ask us in the comments there. You can also find advice shared by participants who took part last year in the transcript of the live chat we hosted in October.
