We do this by consulting widely and conducting research which we use to inform our day-to-day work as well as changes to our strategy. We undertake to make sure the changes we make are based on good evidence and will meet real needs.
Shaping the future – for heritage, for everyone
To develop our current strategic framework between 31 January and 28 April 2011 we carried out a public consultation, Shaping the future – for heritage, for everyone! It was a great opportunity for us to learn how our funding can best help with future challenges.
Through carefully designed questionnaires, stakeholder workshops and internal consultation events, over 2,000 customers, partners and members of the public took part in the consultation to help us develop our current strategy.
Key questions focused on:
- what our future priorities should be
- how our grant programmes were received
- how we can successfully meet future opportunities and challenges
You can read more about our consultation and summaries of the findings on the framework publication page.
