  3. Last week we published a Q&A blog with young HLF Wales Committee Member Jamie Davies, in which he offered some insight into the role:

“As a committee member, I attend meetings four times a year, where we decide on first and second round project applications, and I make recommendations for major grants of over £2million to be decided by the HLF Board of Trustees. In addition, I have contributed to HLF consultations, observed the delegated decision meetings made by the Head of HLF in Wales and observed another regional committee meeting in the West Midlands. As a Welsh speaker, I contribute to press announcements - most recently the multi-million funding boost to the National Botanic Garden of Wales.”

  5. This is a wonderful opportunity.  I really enjoyed the video, 'A lasting difference for heritage and people'; it gives a good overview of what you are trying to achieve with the latest round of recruitment to the Fund Committee.

  7. I just wanted to flag up yesterday's live chat about HLF Committees, which you can refer back to at any time if you weren't able to follow along yesterday.

Comments on the live chat thread are now closed, but if anything we discussed sparks any questions, please do post them here in this thread, and we'll be able to answer them for you.

And for anyone specifically interested in becoming a London Committee member, we're hosting a drop-in session here at Head Office on Wednesday 20 September from 5-7pm.
