We hope that you'll find the community easy and intuitive to use. However, if you do need a hand using any of the features, or spot a technical issue with using the site, then we are here to help.

Please check to see if we've already already provided an answer to your question in the Community help, guidelines and technical issues forum.

If we haven't, you could either start a new discussion in this forum, or get in touch directly and we'll get back to you as soon as I can. There's lots of different ways you can get in touch with us, depending on what you need:

  • For queries about using the community part of the site (including technical issues), or to report something on the community as inappropriate, you should contact Amy, the community manager, via the digital team.
  • If you are experiencing issues with using other parts of the HLF website, please contact the digital team.
  • If your query is related to an application for a grant or using the application form system, you should contact our grant enquiries team.
  • If you'd like to get in touch with your local HLF team, you can find the relevant office contact details on our Contact us page.
  • If you have a press enquiry, you should contact the press team.

  5. Hi Amy,

I have added a discussion to the general discussions page but the only option at the bottom of the page was to 'save'. I clicked this, but now can't see where it is.  Is the discussion there somewhere or is there an issue?

    Many thanks

    Becky

Hmm, I can't see it anywhere, I'm afraid. Sometimes if you take too long to post something the system can time out… I suggest that you try writing your post in advance in a Word document or text file or email window, and then cut and paste the text onto our site and try again. Sorry for the hassle - the 'time out' issue is another thing we've got your tech team working on a solution to. Thanks for your patience.

    Hi Amy,

It didn't time out, there was only the option to save and not submit…

I will try again, but as it only says save I think it may just get lost again.  Also, where would it save it to?

    Thanks

I see you've posted a 'test' post now, which is in the General discussions forum - do you see an option at the bottom of that post to 'edit' it - you could try that?

    https://www.hlf.org.uk/community/general-discussions/test

And the button to post a new thread does indeed say 'save' rather than 'submit', so that's correct.

  15. Hi Amy,

I'm currently filling out my evaluation and there is a box to check saying 'We have included a record of acivities/events that we arranged'. I did quite a long evaluation blurb (sorry - I ramble, it is a good read though!), which is quite detailed in how we acheived our intended outcomes through our project. Do I have to submit a recod of activities alongside this? And if so, what should this look like?

    Many thanks,

    Lisa

    Hi Lisa,

Thanks for your query, and your evaluation blurb sounds great! That box regarding including a record of activities/events relates to you submitting evidence of activities that happened during the project, or proof of any project outputs. For example, you could attach a poster that you made to advertise for an exhibition, or some workshops that you put on, a pamphlet given out at a project event, or a copy of a book you produced - anything which gives us a better idea, alongside any photos, of what went on in your project.

I hope that answers your query, but do let me know if not!

    Best wishes,

    Rebecca

  19. Hi Amy,

I recently went to a Kick The Dust presentation. I was pointed to these pages to see other possible partners who might be interested in collaborating. Is there a specific place?

    Thanks
