Living Wandle LPS Conference 20th October

Dear all,

The Living Wandle LPS is finishing in 2018 and we are pleased to invite you to our celebration conference taking place 9.30 - 4pm on Friday 20th October 2017.

We are the first urban LPS and we hope that the event will be a catalyst for ideas and reflections on working for landscape within an urban context. By joining us you will:

- find out about what the LWLP has achieved,

- take away lessons learnt about landscape scale working,

- explore and experience the natural and built heritage of the first urban Landscape Partnership.

The day will take place at Wandsworth Civic Suite, London, where you will have the chance to hear first hand from our project partners before we commence the first session of informative keynote speakers. Representatives from the Living Wandle team, HLF, the Greater London Authority and the Environment Agency will be speaking on a range of subjects from the future roles of landscape funding schemes and the London Environment Strategy, to citizen science and community engagement.

The final session will include an interesting and provocative panel discussion. We hope this session will provide the space for attendees to share their experiences and perspectives of the challenges and opportunities of working in diverse landscapes.

After lunch we’ll be heading outdoors to explore the heritage of the River Wandle through three exciting site visits.

For more details and to book on please contact Kelvin at kshewry@wandsworth.gov.uk, 07500 073049.

We hope that you are able to join us for an interesting, informative and fun day!

Rebecca, Sarah and Kelvin
