Promoting SFF at careers fairs at universities

Hallo, I am Lizzie Neville, director of Penzance based PZ Conservation C.I.C. We are a very small training organisation that through HLF's, Skills for the Future programme, trains new-starters and conservation graduates in book and archive conservation.

We have booked in to do a career fair at Exeter University next October. Are the any other SFF projects looking to recruit graduates?  Perhaps there are opportunities for some SFF projects to link up, to share resources and spread the word further about future traineeships and what the heritage sector has to offer?  Any ideas?

  1. Thanks Lizzie

Taking a wider perspecive on your thread  I would be interested in people's thoughts about the profile of heritage training opportunities at career fairs.  Has anyone any experience of having an effiective presence?  What have you done to attract people to your stand? What has been the repsonse of those who visited your stand?

I would also like to take this opportunity to highight the fact that the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum is holding a career's fair on Friday 16 October.
