Hi everyone

Does anyone have experience of using e-portfolios?  If so what ones did you use? what was good and what not so good?  what would you recommend?  Any thoughts much appreciated.

  1. Hi Sharon, I'm going back a way here but I think Lantra developed an e-portfolio system to support delivery if its horticulture qualifications. I'll see if I can find a current contact; there's been a lot of change in personnel in recent years. Jo

  5. I've used e-portfolios for trainees/learners in the capacity of their assessor; I've found them to be clunky and not very user friendly - especially as an assessor! However, aside from some initial labelling issues, the trainees found them to be very useful. It also saved on resources, for example not having to print digital evidence in order to submit it to a physical portfolio.

My conclusion is that e-portfolios are great for the learners, and when the system works it works well.
