South Lanarkshire school children learn about local mining heritage

Welcome to Scotland

HLF in Scotland is supporting projects that create opportunities for volunteering, learning and celebrating our culture. The projects that we fund help to give people a sense of place and identity, igniting a passion for heritage, and regenerating communities.

Scotland’s heritage is a rich mix of stunning landscapes, historic buildings and unique collections and stories of our rural and industrial past.

We are keen to work with groups and organisations to develop projects that will give people a better opportunity to enjoy, learn about and look after their heritage.

We have identified a number of priority areas and groups that have benefitted less from our funding in the past. Our priority areas are listed in the green column to the right - select a link to find out what is going on in your area. We are also keen to hear from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) groups or organisations which support BAME communities.

If you are developing a heritage project then contact us for pre-application advice. Talk to us - advice and support in Scotland has more information on the help you can get from the HLF team in Scotland.

We look forward to hearing from you!
