Project description: To provide wider access to the records and art collection held at the Scottish Arts Club by preserving and promoting the invaluable archive built up over 150 years. The project aims to publish a photographic record of the permanent art collection so that it can be accessed by anyone worldwide.

Our Past, My Future
Applicant: ENABLE Scotland
Project description: To empower communities across North Lanarkshire to recognise the local history and positive changes made by people with learning disabilities to human rights and life in Scotland. The project aims to celebrate and promote the heritage of the social changes for people with learning disabilities over the last 70 years. It will also focus on the role that ENABLE Scotland, the nation’s largest disability charity, along with its members, has played in making that change.
Decision: Award grant of £237,514 (100% of total costs)
Gallan Head Guidebook
Applicant: Gallan Head Community Trust
Project description: To create a pocket size Guidebook to convey archaeological, historical, cultural and directional information about the Gallan Head / Aird area. This is a follow on from the 2019 survey work and involves compiling the survey and other information into a guidebook which will be publicly available to locals and visitors. This publication will act as an informative archive directing people to the points of archaeological and historical interest, the surrounding sights and provide an explanation of what these features are.

Love Our Seas
Applicant: Ullapool Sea Savers SCIO
Project description: To engage people with the marine heritage, using exciting, well-trialled, innovative techniques to reach the broadest possible range of participants. Love Our Seas activities will encourage positive changes in ideas and actions and improve environmental awareness in the protection of that heritage.
Decision: Award grant of £74,035 (85.2% of total costs)
Sophy & White: Dunollie Collections Unboxed
Applicant: MacDougall of Dunollie Preservation Trust
Project description: To safeguard and contextualise the object collections, maximising impact in the new post Coronavirus (COVID-19) age. Reimagining how the collections are managed will help to widen reach and strengthen education, health and wellbeing impact. Eight groups will be targeted to widen engagement. The project aims to build capacity in terms of collections management, and promote inclusivity, diversity and climate action to help shape a sustainable future.

St Ethelreda's Chapel Halterburn

Project description: The aim of the project is to run an archaeological dig and provide linked activities in a rural area often missed by larger organisations. It aims to develop closer links between the local societies to help ensure the ongoing vibrancy of these organisations.

Pride of Place at Provan Hall
Applicant: Provan Hall Community Management Trust
Project description: Using the heritage site to stimulate regeneration in Easterhouse by providing accessible means to engage with Provan Hall, through recreation and learning activities for a wide range of people. The interpretation will include various interpretation methods of audio visual as well as tangible items.
Decision: Award grant of £179,950 (87.3% of total costs)
Teviot Court & Frank Scott Court 'Auld Hawick' Photography
Applicant: Eildon Housing Association Ltd
Project description: The project aims to hang large canvas prints of local scenes and people at work or doing sport from the 1940s onwards to display local heritage and help wayfinding for tenants. Using different and prominent photographs on each floor would provide a dementia-friendly way to navigate different levels.

Crail Community Hall – Sustainability
Applicant: Crail Community Partnership
Project description: The Partnership has undertaken two urgent upgrades. Firstly to install a commercial kitchen as the business model requires the Hall to host 10 to 12 weddings to generate an income stream. Secondly to replace the gas boiler which was 20 to 25 years old. In 2021 approximately 3,500 people attended events and activities at the Hall, which rose to approximately 9,000 in 2022.

Project description: To create a project for local people in Cowdenbeath, Fife to reconnect with their history and heritage by making thousands of archive images of the much-loved Gala Days and Civic Week events available online for the first time.
