Project description: This project is to repair and conserve the Trans-Atlantic Telegraph Table Chart 1866. It was published by the Hydrographic Office of the British Admiralty in 1857 and shows the bed of the Atlantic Ocean overlaid with written records of daily messages from the Great Eastern, the vessel responsible for the laying of the first successful telegraph cable between England and United States of America in 1866.
