Hundreds of special heritage offers across the UK this spring

National Lottery Open Week is back, taking place from Saturday 9 to Sunday 17 March.

To say thank you for the £30million raised for good causes every week by players, National Lottery-funded venues are offering free entry, discounts and special deals throughout National Lottery Open Week 2024.

How do I claim an offer?

Anyone with a scratch card or lottery ticket can take up an offer.

Free entry

Hundreds of National Trust sites and venues are throwing their doors open for free including Powis Castle and Garden in Wales and UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Fountains Abbey in North Yorkshire and Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland.

National Trust for Scotland is taking part, offering free access to heritage places like Drum Castle, Fall House of Dun and Gladstone’s Land.

Explore RSPB reserves such as Belfast’s Window on Wildlife, Burton Mere Wetlands, Conwy Nature Reserve and Loch Lomond Nature Reserve, which is also offering free mini-beast hunt kits. Or take part in a free mountain hare walk at Dove Stone reservoir, Greater Manchester.

Visit breathtaking English Heritage sites for free including Eltham Palace, Dover Castle, Brodsworth Hall and Gardens, Kenilworth Castle and Elizabethan Garden, Pendennis Castle, Marble Hill and more. 

You can also get free entry to inspiring places including Eden Project, Horniman Museum aquarium, Scottish Maritime Museum, Ulster Folk Museum and Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens among many others.

Free guided tours and walks

Many places are offering free tours and walks including Royal Shakespeare Company, Stephenson Steam Railway, Union Chapel, Coventry Cathedral, Poole’s Cavern, and Boathouse 4 with tours of a 1940’s steamboat.

2-for-1 deals

There are lots of 2-for-1 deals including at Crich Tramway Village, HMS Belfast, IWM Duxford and Foundling Museum.

Kids go free

This year kids go free at many places as well including Tower of London, Black Country Living Museum, Kensington Palace and Glasgow Science Centre.
