With grants ranging from £10,000 to just over £200,000, the six projects support a range of heritage – from nature and archives to culture and memories.

Caroline Clark, Director for Scotland at the Heritage Fund said: “There’s a real diversity within these six projects, but one thing they all have in common is they each started with a strong idea that is now able to make a real impact with support from the Heritage Fund.”

We hope they will inspire more people to develop project ideas and apply for funding.

Six new projects

LGBT Youth Scotland (£203,965) and YouthLink Scotland (£92,097) will help young people across the country develop a social history archive and overcome barriers to working in heritage and nature, respectively.

Glasgow Zine Library (£62,808) will work to catalogue and digitise their huge collection of zines covering Scottish culture, while Culture Asia (£10,000) will host community events for their ‘75 years of Pakistan in Glasgow’ celebration.

In Renfrewshire, the role of local women providing care through the pandemic will be explored by Woven in Renfrewshire (£9,950), and Renfrew Development Trust (£9,820) will establish Renfrew Heritage and History Group.
